Well, my two weeks in Uganda were awesome! Thanks to Bruce and Debbie, Dan and Terri, and Mark and Susan for leading the trip. You all did a wonderful job and created an amazing experience for us all. An experience that will live in our hearts and change our lives forever.
What a privilege to partner in ministry with Jackson and Eve Senyonga and Christian Life Ministries. I look forward to future opportunities to go back and preach and spend time with the pastors and evangelists in leadership training. They are so hungry for God's Word and for opportunities to learn.
The children at the orphanage captured our hearts. I think most of us on the team ended up sponsoring one or more of them. We are sponsoring a little girl named Joyce. She is about six years old and we look forward to watching her grow to be a great Christian woman. How fun it will be to see her when we return.
It's interesting being here in Paris now for a few days with our son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter. It is kind of like "easing back" into our lavish culture. I remember Justin, my son here in Paris, telling me one time that living in Paris is like living somewhere in between a first and third world country.
Last night we ate at the Hard Rock Cafe'. Sorry to say that Justin and Ann spent all night up and down with stomach sickness.
We're loving spending time with Maisie. She is so cute and expressive. However, I have to sadly admit, she has not quite taken to me yet. She is still trying to figure me out. She does like to check out my soul patch. If you get my church email, I mentioned that I thought I was her favorite. There was a bit of sarcasm in that statement but she has taken quickly to Ann and gives her some great smiles. I'm glad since Ann wanted a little girl.
Maybe if Justin gets better and we find the time before we leave Paris, I'll have him help me post some pics to my site.
See ya!
