well about the Christ follower and what you would call servant hood again, I have to disagree with you George....We as Christians are far more joined to the family of our Lord than just mere CHRIST FOLLOWERS, and a Servant is one who gets paid and can change anytime they want.

But for me and my house we are sons and daughters of our Lord, we are now joint heirs in our Lord, not just followers, or servants, I think this sums it up as truth: Letter to the Galatians
Chapter 4

Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a SERVANT, though he be lord of all;

But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.

Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:

But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

Wherefore thou art NO MORE A SERVANT, but a SON; and if a SON, then an heir of God through Christ.

So call yourself a servant if you wish, or even a Christ Follower.
but I will call myself now A Son in joint heirs with Christ of the living God , I cannot no more follow someone who I am part of, that would be like your son, George saying he is a GEORGE follower, When I hope, he is not a follower but a part of you in every essence.

When is the Church going to stop this little "BUMPERSTICKER" MENTALITY and start applying scripture of who they really are to their lives?.

I think going to church for a lot of people is like going to a club. Fellowship is important but church isn't supposed to be a show that you watch. It reminds me of the messages about worship we had awhile back. We have the singers and the instruments and the equipment etc... and in a different context that could make a performance or concert but worship is a time to connect to God. It is a ministry (so there's the serving part) to people for God. One of the reasons for my inward desire (using a term from today's message) to come to a service is because I feel that the Holy Spirit shows up at AL. The renewal of my soul is something I look forward to all week. I can access that during the week when I'm on my own but it is something to experience with all those brothers and sisters together. I think it is a wonderful blessing that we have many different ministries people can plug in to and get involved. I agree whole-heartedly that we need to stop sitting on our behinds and start loving one another in service. Right now I'm trying to find out which ministry God wants me to be a part of.
